Midye tava - Fried musselsFried mussels

Ingredients:

  • 60 big mussels
  • 2 cups flour

for coating:

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1,5 cups beer

for frying:

  • 1/2 It. sunflower oil

 

Preparation:

Mussels without their shells and their black beards cut, should be washed thoroughly and drained on paper towels. Spread the flour on a tray. Toss the mussels in flour and coat both sides. Mix 1 cup of flour and 1,5 cups of beer into a batter. Toss the flour coated mussels in this mixture and then into deep fried oil. Fry both sides to a golden color. Remove and drain on paper towels. Spread some salt on the fried mussels and serve with tarator sauce on the side.
